Job description
Our client, a global digital organisation operating across multiple sectors and serving B2B customers, is seeking a Japan Market Lead to oversee local operations, build strategic partnerships, and drive business growth in the region. This role combines market strategy, team leadership, and commercial execution.
Main Responsibilities

Define and implement market strategies for Japan, aligning local initiatives with broader APAC objectives.

Analyse regional monetisation and engagement trends to guide product and growth teams.

Adapt global products and services to meet the needs of the Japanese market.

Build and maintain relationships with key partners, advertisers, and stakeholders.

Develop a partner ecosystem, including opportunity pipelines and strategic agreements.

Recruit, coach, and manage a high-performing local team; set objectives and monitor results.

Represent the organisation externally, maintaining visibility and credibility in industry networks.

Collaborate with global leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth strategy execution.
Requirements

Proven experience in digital services, advertising, or technology-led businesses in APAC, ideally including Japan.

Strong network with local partners, advertisers, or industry stakeholders.

Track record of launching or scaling commercial operations in a local market.

Experience hiring and leading high-performing teams.

Fluent in English; Japanese language skills preferred.
